His instrumental and electronic works have been featured in concerts and radio programs throughout Europe (BBC London, SFB Berlin, HR Frankfurt, WDR Cologne, NDR Hamburg, VPRO Radio Holland, VRT Radio Belgium, Radio Nacional de Espana, Polskie Radio, ORF Austrian Radio Vienna, and Swedish National Radio), the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia.
He has developed an algorithmic composition software (AFSTS 1) for the Atari ST computers from 1991-1993. From 1994-1997 he was chairman of the music department in the guild of artist "Kunstlergilde NRW". Banasik was the artistic director of the ensemble "go ahead" and organizer of multimedia events with new music, literature and fine arts as well as concerts of electroacoustic music and University symposia.
He has received national and international music awards and scholarships.
